Destiny
I am giving you the best example of destiny that I came across. Of course all of you must have experienced/witnessed some kind of destiny at play in your lives! One latest example came in news paper is that of a maid, who had lost her husband long back and who has 2 sons and a daughter. With her hand to mouth earning, she educated all 3 and now elder son has became a doctor, another son also completing MBBS, and daughter is completing BAMS, again a doctor. Do you think it is generally possible for a widowed maid who washes utensils and does some labour work can afford or make this possible? No. It is the destiny of all four!! A very rare example, so one can think about what destiny is and can do!
Now take example of my friend, the best example I said. The above example is also a best, but it is published in Sakal news paper and not witnessed by me. But this is witnessed by me throughout the years as it is happening.
He is my best friend as well resides in same society for last 30 years. He had his first heart attack on 6th Feb 1986 at 5.45 PM. He had a very severe attack and collapsed at door only while saying good bye to one of his friend who came to see him. He was staying on 2nd floor and after brief shouts by his wife, someone brought him to ground floor. As it was evening time, most of us from our society were at home. So most of us, say around 15/20 people gathered immediately. One lady doctor who resides in our society declared him as dead!! I ran to catch hold of one heart specialist who resides and has hospital nearby, to fetch him. I almost dragged him to spot within say 10 minutes. He also just shook his head and went back without speaking a word. Mean while one more anesthesia specialist doctor in our society started artificial respiration by hand pump he always carries in his house. We were all stunned. The wife was not believing this, was insisting and pleading us to take him to the hospital. So our friend, anesthesia doctor, decided to take him to the hospital. Without wasting time for ambulance, we drove our 3-4 cars and drove him to nearby Joshi Hospital. While cars were being pulled, I ran to nearby square, informed police on duty of emergency and asked to let our cars go fast. All this I am giving detail is just to understand you, how much time must have gone between him being declared dead and his treatment
In hospital monitor was showing a straight line. I was there with our doctor friend. Then he said let us give him shock treatment. Immediately, first shock was given. Body raised almost by 6 inches with that shock!! Nothing happened. Second shock was given. Monitor graph was still showing straight line. There was some brief discussion between doctor and specialist about giving a third shock or not. Finally third shock was given. And--- monitor was showing uneven waves!!!
Mean while senior cardiologist was called. Present was very eminent personality, Dr H. V. Sardesai came and took over the charge. Please note here that in normal medical treatment, third electric shock in not allowed. Our doctor friend, on his responsibility, gave it.

Our friend came out of this horrible experience very safely. Think in medical terms. He was dead for more than 15 to 20 minutes! Although artificial respiration was given, without blood circulation, brain cannot get oxygen supply. Brain without oxygen for more than 5 minutes is disastrous. One can go in permanent coma, can get partial or full paralysis, may damage any part of brain resulting in total loss of memory, speech, hearing and so on. All or any one or more things could have happened. But surprisingly nothing happened. He was as physically and mentally as good as before! Unbelievable. Even Dr. Sardesai was surprised with this recovery. Later angiography was carried out. And again result was surprising. Doctors were expecting a heavy and multi-vain blockage But a very small spot was observed in one vain only!! He did not need any surgery, only medication was given.
Here first part of destiny ends. Was his destiny to suffer mentally and economically only? Can we say it is his rebirth? Rebirth with same body, soul and timing? One thing I wish to specify that after his admission to hospital, almost everybody, say 50-60 people in society and many more of their family friends and relatives prayed to God. Some fasted! Many kept home idols in water as any Hindu does this. So these well wishes, prayers definitely helped to pull him back from death!! Or his destiny called him back?
He joined yoga classes with world famous yogachrya Shree B.K.S. Iyengar. Later I had heart attack, gone thro’ first ever in Asia a triple vessel angiography. And I also joined with him for yoga classes. My reference here is to show how close I am with him and following his steps. That is why I could observe his destiny closely! I quit yoga classes after 6 years of practice but he continues till today. That is almost 20-22 years! A great devotion towards yoga! And he was in advance classes of yoga. That means he was doing yoga postures for more than 90% of perfection. In other words he was achieving more than 90% of health and mental perfection. Again he is south Indian, that means he is pure vegetarian, eat less or no spicy and no oily food. No smoking, no liquor, very regular and scheduled life style. What more one can do to keep him healthy? I am sure not even 1-2 % of people could achieve such a healthy life style for such a long period!!
And in spite of all this healthy life style he suffered again. In last week of Dec 08, while driving to a friend’s house, he felt uneasiness and was feeling left arm pain since morning. Pain increased a little more and he sensed that he needs to see a doctor, just to see every thing is OK before joining the friend for dinner. Doctor immediately admitted him in ICU saying he is having angina, early stage of heart attack. Good thing he went there before anything could happen and got proper treatment in time. This time he was found with 2 major blockages and had to undergo angioplasty!!
Now think, having lived 20-22 years of most healthy life style he suffered with heavy blockages but got it treated before attack comes or any damage could happen. Why he could suffer such a heavy blockage when he was following all best medical advices for heart patient very strictly. And having such heavy blockages he had not suffered heart attack, but his first attack was very serious and disastrous with very minor blockage!! And one more surprising thing is that at second time angiography, first time blockage was seen as it is!! Even after 22 years yoga and healthy food. So one way it is proved that yoga can not clear vain blockages as claimed. But all this is difficult to explain on any modern medical term.
Now is this not a game of destiny? His determination to keep himself healthy and physically fit for a long period and all his efforts trashed out by DESTINY!!!
More over, not only me but numerous astrologers from Pune visited him after his recovery in first attack in 1986 to check his horoscope or palm to find out the co-relation of his rebirth. No one could find, including me, any astrological rule or planetary position to explain this unique phenomena.
From my astrological study I could only explain his unbelievable experience and not his heart problem with one unique planetary position. In his horoscope, Indian Nirayan style, sun is conjoined with Neptune in first house of KANYA RASHI i.e. virgo and in shravan nakshtra. Neptune is very unpredictable planet and gives unpredictable and unbelievable results. Such a planet is with Ravi i.e. sun and lord of nakshtra in which they are is Chandra i.e. moon. So ravi or sun who represents heart, gave unbelievable experience about heart, as well being in Chandra or moon nakshtra, who represent mind, his state of mind was and is not disturbed. He could keep his full consciousness with his first heart attack.
In short astrology can guide you to your destiny but can not avoid or change the destiny nor dilute or increase the intensity, as some astrologers claim.
To maintain privacy I have avoided most of names except Dr. H. V. Sardesai. The other doctor who treated and carried out both angiography and one angioplasty is Dr, Shirish Hiremath. He also remembers me till today as mine was the first multi vessel angioplasty he carried out and got prize for presentation of my case at Singapore conference. !! For reference we will call my friend who the subject as simply Shankar. For astrologers curiosity I am giving his birth details. The Idea

Astrology is one of the interested subject for many. It is not a complete science as it was about 3000 years ago in India. During period lots of references got lost and very few in scattered condition are available. The idea of blog is to make aware of what astrology is exactly and how to look at it. How much to believe and limitations of a astrology. We will discuss this in due course.
Indian culture is as old as 3000 to 5000 years and lots of Myths exits. Modern scientists are trying to find out it's meaning. And they could find lots of parallelisms between these spiritual myths and modern science. Will explore these also. I would refer a book on this subject named THE TAO OF PHYSICS by FRITTJOF CAPRA.
Astrology is a very small part of the old Hindu literature as compared to the UPANISHADA, which is full of spiritual guidance and guide to karma or responsibilities of an individual as human being. We are trying to understand this in simple way, though the practical applications in normal life is very difficult. But even if we could achieve 20% of it, it is a great achievement and will definitely give piece of mind and satisfaction.
